Privacy Policy
Summary
Just Radio does not collect your data. No account, no sign-up, no tracking, no ads, no analytics. What you do in the app stays on your device. This page explains the details, including the few things that happen over the internet simply because Just Radio plays online radio.
Who we are
We’re a small team (“we”, “us”) of designers and developers from the EU who wanted a simple, fast, ad-free, affordable and safe radio app — so we built one. You can reach us any time at support@justradio.app. Our website address is: https://justradio.app.
We do not collect personal data
We have no servers that store information about you. We do not ask for your name, email, or any account. We do not use analytics tools, advertising networks, tracking pixels, or third-party tracking SDKs of any kind. We cannot see what you listen to, and we do not build a profile of you. In short, we do not collect any data on you nor do we sell it to third parties.
On the App Store, Just Radio is declared as “Data Not Collected.”
What stays on your device
Everything you create in the app is stored only on your deviceand is never uploaded to us:
- Your favorite stations
- Your Custom list of stations
- Your settings (chosen country, brand color, sleep timer)
- The list of stations you’ve hidden, and cached station lists
If you delete the app, this information is removed with it. We keep no copy because we never receive one.
Things that use the internet (and what that means)
Just Radio plays radio from the internet, so some information necessarily travels over the network. This is standard for any streaming app, and in each case the data goes to a third party, not to us:
- Playing a station. Audio streams directly from the broadcaster’s own servers. Like any radio app or web browser, your device’s IP address is visible to that broadcaster while you listen. We are not involved in that connection and receive nothing from it.
- Finding stations. The app’s directory of stations and the per-country station counts come from the community radio directory radio-browser.info. Requesting that data sends a normal network request (including your IP address) to that service.
- Station logos. For stations you add yourself, the app may look up a logo from the station’s own website. That request reaches the station’s server like any image download. We do not control these third parties and are not responsible for their practices.
You may wish to review radio-browser.info’s own policy. If you use a VPN, these requests follow your VPN as usual.
Purchases
Just Radio + is an optional one-time purchase. Payments are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store — we never see or receive your payment details. Your purchase is tied to your Apple Account so you can restore it on your devices. Apple’s handling of that transaction is covered by Apple’s own privacy policy.
Sharing and importing lists
You can export your Favorites or Custom list as a file and share it, or import a file someone sent you. These files contain only station information (names, stream links, countries, tags) — no personal data — and they move only where you choose to send them. We are not involved in any way.
Children
Just Radio is safe for all ages. Because we collect no data at all, we collect none from children.
Your rights
Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to show, correct, export, or delete on our side — your information already lives only on your device, under your control. This is by design and is consistent with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Changes to this policy
If we ever change how the app works in a way that affects privacy, we will update this page and its “Last updated” date. Our commitment won’t change: no ads, no tracking, no selling your attention.
